1. Anonymous asked: #50 how are you liking your classes this semester and what are you taking?

Professional Practices — This class is one of those Senior courses you take that are suppose to teach you about being a working art professional and it is absolutely pointless and boring for me because I already took the internship course in art, which teaches the same thing.

Colour Theory and Application — I’m finding myself liking this course way more then expected, its really helping me to learn to break down colours in painting and I’m about to take on the most creative project I’ve done so far in my undergrad because of it. My second favourite class this quarter for sure!

Lineages of Cultural Theory — I’m not really on the road to being a Cultural Anthropologist so this class is… hit or miss for me, some of our discussions have been really fun but its not what I want to do so some of the reading is just absolutely painful for me.

Intro to Christian Ethics — I went into this class assuming it’d be a dull, boring, yawn worthy completion of my religious requirement at DePaul but it turns out she actually changed the way the course was being taught to ‘Morals in Movies’ and we’ve gotten to watch Groundhog Day and The GodFather so far and its really quite interesting to see the spins old readings from Augustine and Aquinas apply to these movies. I have a 105% in the class so far which is always awesome.

Introduction to Biological Anthropolog — By far leaps and bounds my favourite course. I’m really loving relearning a lot of Evolutionary stuff I had forgotten and adoring learning the foundations of learning the differences between the types of Primates and then hominids and Apes and such. Its absolutely fascinating (if you can’t tell by my intense use of adjectives) and I’m really trying to do my best so I can try and TA the class next quarter! I’m doing wicked in it so far too, I did a little poorly on our genetics quizzes but I’ve more then made it up!
